Servers, SSL certificates and patching. There is nothing to provision and nothing to maintain: HelloDave.ai hosts and operates the instance, and the 18-step security hardening pass and platform updates are part of the seat price.
Per run, per task or per action metering. There is no usage meter anywhere in the billing model. The only quantity the payment system ever sees is how many seats you have.
A setup fee, or a jump when you outgrow a plan. There is no onboarding charge and no re-tiering. Adding a sixth person adds $10 a month, and so does adding the hundredth.
Yes. You name your workspace and go through secure checkout when you sign up, and a card is collected at that point but is not charged until the 30-day trial ends. The trial covers up to five seats and is a time-boxed preview of the same paid seat scale, not a different product, so nothing about how Dave works changes when it converts.
If the trial ends without a paid subscription, or a payment lapses later, the workspace is locked until billing is resolved. An administrator sees options to renew, update payment or manage the subscription, and everyone else is pointed to their administrator. Nothing is deleted while a workspace is locked, and paying or renewing restores full access immediately.
An administrator changes the seat count from the billing screen. New seats become usable immediately and the difference is prorated, and deactivating or removing a person frees their seat again. You cannot drop below the number of people still active, so the seat count and the team can never disagree.

Yes. Every pending invitation reserves a seat, so your active users plus your outstanding invitations cannot exceed the seats you pay for. Revoking an invitation frees that seat again straight away.
Yes. An administrator manages the subscription from the billing screen, which opens the payment provider's customer portal for updating a payment method, viewing invoice history and cancelling. Seat changes are made on the same screen and take effect immediately.
Only an administrator. Dave also seeds a Financial role for billing and subscription management, one of its six built-in roles. Members without those rights see a prompt to contact their administrator rather than a payment screen.
